WHAT IS THE MASH?
THE MASH UPCYCLES BREWER’S SPENT GRAIN FROM HALF HITCH BREWING COMPANY AND USES IT TO MAKE A ONE-OF-A-KIND PIZZA DOUGH
The Mash is the younger (and cooler) sister of Half Hitch Brewing Company. We take the leftover brewer's grain from Half Hitch and repurpose it to make a one-of-a-kind pizza dough. Topped with fresh, unique ingredients, and served with a pint of craft brew, we have created a match made in heaven.
Let's talk about brewing, baby. Crushed malted barley (and in the case of Papa Bear: barley, wheat, rye and oats) is mixed with hot water to convert the starch into sugar. The grain is separated out and the liquid becomes the brewing water, which is then boiled, flavoured with hops and fermented to become the liquid of the gods. The end.
